Emergency Services
Crisis services are available to any individual presently in our surrounding area who is in need of assistance. Southwestern offers 24-hour emergency evaluations, crisis interventions, and counseling for people of all ages with mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
Individuals seen for crisis services present with a wide range of psychiatric and life-circumstance difficulties. Members of Southwetern’s Emergency Services on-call team intervene in psychiatric emergency situations in order to assure the safety of all individuals involved, assist individuals to develop their own resources for coping with the emergency, or provide any level of care deemed necessary. The on-call staff member will also make arrangements for the individual to receive on-going treatment, if appropriate.
Emergency Services are available at any of our seven outpatient offices in Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties. After normal business hours, including weekends, services are available by phone at 812.423.7791.
