Help is Available 24 Hours a Day

In November 2010, Southwestern Healthcare, Inc. launched a Suicide Awareness Initiative. Through this initiative we have developed a community-wide marketing campaign that utilizes television, radio, print, billboards, magazine ads, bus benches and bus back and other outlets to spread our suicide prevention message and increase awareness of our 24 hour, 7 day a week suicide prevention line.

With the current suicide rates in our communities it was important for our organization to increase our role of providing a suicide prevention line and support for those who make the call. It is our goal to inform as many citizens of our communities as possible about suicide prevention and to provide help, hope and support to those who either are suicidal or know of someone who may be at risk.

If you are feeling helpless, depressed, out of control, hopeless or are ready to give up, please know that these and other feelings are real. Suicide is real. Help is available. Suicide is preventable.

If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, please make the call at 812.422.1100. We are here 24 hours a day to help you. No call is too much or too little for us to answer. Mental health professionals are available to assist when help is needed most. Please make the call and give us the opportunity to help you during this difficult time. We care. We are here for you.

We invite you to tour our page to learn more about suicide prevention and various means we are using to increase suicide prevention efforts in Southwestern Indiana.
