Where to Get Help
Several choices are available for you to get help in your community. First and foremost, if you are considering suicide, please make the call to our 24 hour suicide prevention line at 812.422.1100.
If you are in need of mental health services but are not in immediate danger of hurting yourself or others, the following are some resources for you to consider.

Support Groups
Support groups are a great way to connect to others who may be dealing with the same mental health or addiction issues you or your loved one is facing.
Support groups are not treatment groups, rather they are meetings held in a small group setting that allows you to find hope, support and gain support from your peers.
The following are a few organizations that offer support groups in our local community:
Mental Health America
- Bipolar/Manic Depressive Disorder: Come together for discussion, sharing, and learning. This ongoing support group helps individuals and their loved ones cope with the high and low emotions of bipolar disorder. This group is led by a peer facilitator.
- Anxiety Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: This self-help support group provides education, peer support and problem solving for individuals experiencing anxiety issues. This group is led by a mental health professional.
- Survivors of Suicide (SOS): This grief support group is for adults who have lost a loved one to suicide. This group is led by a peer facilitator.

- Friends and Family: This is a support group for family and friends of persons with mental illness.
