On Monday, February 28 the Evansville City Council unanimously voted yes to awarding Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare $10M of the American Rescue Funds to expand mental health services in our community. Funds will be used to renovate the third floor of Mulberry Plaza, located at 414 S.E. Fourth Street in downtown Evansville, as the 3rd floor will be transformed into a new mental health residential treatment unit.

In addition, the Council approved $4M in American Rescue Funds to fund services related to a new child and family services neurodevelopmental psychiatry specialty center –more information to come as the project develops.

The mask policy has been updated to reflect “Masks are Recommended” in Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare facilities. Please take extra precautions if you  have any Covid symptoms and call us before your scheduled appointment to discuss your next steps. We also recommend that clients wear a mask if they have not been vaccinated.
