Support groups are a great way to connect to others who may be dealing with the same mental health or addiction issues you or your loved one is facing. Support groups are not treatment groups, rather they are meetings held in a small group setting that allows you to find hope, support and gain support from your peers.
The following are a few organizations that offer support groups in our local community:
Bipolar/Manic Depressive Disorder – Come together for discussion, sharing and learning. This ongoing support group helps individuals and their loved ones cope with the high and low emotions of Bipolar Disorder. The group is led by a peer facilitator.
Survivors of Suicide (SOS) – This grief support group is for adults who have lost a loved one to suicide. The group is led by a peer facilitator.

Friends and Family – This is a support group for friends and family members of persons with mental illness.
NAMI Connections – This is a peer-directed support group for persons living with mental illness.
