Project Description

Community Reinforcement and Family Training

CRAFT is an evidenced based practice designed to help concerned significant others to engage treatment refusing substance abusers into treatment. This treatment uses an overall positive approach and steers clear of any confrontation. Some of the components include how to stay safe, learning how to use positive rewards, and how to let the substance user suffer the natural consequences for their using behavior.  The typical length of treatment is 8-12 sessions with the concerned significant other in an individual therapy setting.
